World economy in 2010; temporary lull state ('09. 11/29)
In 2009, world had a glimpse of a deep water of the hell due to the so called "Lehman Shock." Just after that, world suffered from severe credit crunch and credit crisis.
Major U.S. and European financial institutions were hit hard by appraisal losses from their holding mortgage related securities such as RMBS, CDO and so on.
As the result, all of big-5 U.S. investment banks vanished via M&A, failure and transformation of their business structure.

Burst of "Obama Bubble"
It is an unwritten rule that the general public and mass communication refrain to criticize a new administration harshly just after 100-day of assumption.
For the Obama Administration, this so called "honeymoon" term already over.
According to some recent public opinion surveys, public approval rate of US President Barack Obama lowered around 50% threshold, ref.(>

Indeed, no concrete and substantial matters weren't raised in their dialogue, ref.(>"Knitting the alliance"

US$; the world key currency on a crater ('09. 11/15)
In 1971, then U.S Secretary of Treasury, >"John Bowden Connally, Jr.," said to his European counterparts that "US$ is our currency but your problem."
Indeed, all account surplus countries suffered huge amount of appraisal losses from their holding foreign assets due to the so called "Nixon Shock" on Aug. 15th 1971.
The reason why is really easy; US$ is the world key currency so that account surplus countries held their foreign reserves in dollar dominated assets.

US economy in 2010 ('09. 11/10)
Many economists forecasted that 2009 would be a "beginning of a second great depression." Fortunately, they were wrong.
Following the Lehman Shock and severe credit crunch in the later half of 2008, world economic powers agreed to launch massive economic stimulus measures collaboratively.
And the world economy shows some hopeful indications. For example, U.S. economic growth ratio returned to positive zone in the Jul.-Sep quarter.

China executes on-duty deployment of intercontinental ballistic missiles, and has already deployed more than 2,000 mid- and short-range missiles that can attack Japan on the Taiwan opposite coast.

Emerging economies in 2010; epicenter of an another crisis ('09. 11/7)
In 2009, so called emerging economies are doing relatively better than developed countries. As their powers rise, so does their influential voices.
Emergence of G20, replacing traditional G7 or G8, symbolically represents this move, ref.(>"Meaning of failure of the latest G20")
Although t seems a little bit that G20 means just a photo opportunity for leaders, traditional G7 has already lost their exclude power to decide global matters without hearing their voices.

Unstoppable economic growth in China ('09. 11/1)
It was forecasted that "regarding GDP, China would top Japan within 2009 depending on foreign exchange rate" -- sizes of GDP are compared in US$ dominated amount.
But as JPN\ has risen against US$ while Beijing intends to fix Yuan's rates against that, Japan is likely to keep its position as the world No.2 economic power if it goes as it is.
But even so, it is almost certain that China will top Japan in 2010, ref.(>"China rising while Japan declining")
